Robert Verger, a senior water resource specialist at GCS, recently presented a paper at the 2018 IMWA Conference. The study involved a multi-disciplinary team that investigated the viability of pumping water from an adjacent river system into neighbouring opencast voids to create an artificial pit-lake storage system that could provide water for human consumption.
